{Single Digit Days}

How lucky are we?!  I loved our old house, but one of my biggest upsets was NO kids ... we had a couple of neighbor girls, and that was it .... oh, so not the case anymore .... 20+ kids ... and I'm loving it!  The weekend before last, a neighborhood block party was organized! So much fun! This is the neighborhood I've dreamed of ... tons of kids to keep Caden happy and lots of Mommies & Daddies to drink parent juice with!
... and the best part ... we are down to single digit days!  This fun, cute, desirable neighborhood {which reminds me of maybe a wee-bit of Wisteria Lane} becomes ours!  Here are a few more pictures ...
... caden's bathroom ...
... the wiiU made it to the bonus room ...
... kitchen in progress ...
... carpet is in! ...
... fireplace is rocked and the mantle is in progress ...

::Third Grade::

.... and just like that we have a {THIRD Grader}...
... a {THIRD Grader} with quite the personality ...
{THIRD Grade} has been much easier of a transition then 2nd grade was. My thoughts/reasons are: he's growing up,we already know and adore his teacher {C and her kiddos are buddies, and we hung out with them this summer ... although, I do remind her ... she must hold him accountable from the beginning ;-)} or we are so consumed and excited with the new house, he's too pre-occupied to whine about school ... whatever the reason ... I'll take it!

... the pro's to Mom working at your school ... we can take a sneak peak of the classroom before school begins ...
... getting his school supplies ready ...
{side note to the new school aged parents, kinder is the only time you have to buy 20 glue sticks ... it really does get better...hang in there}
... this morning at 6:45 ... "please just one picture" ...
... snapped through the office window ... off to class he goes with his BFF Blake ...
He said his first day was good ... he was thrilled there were no more steps {the discipline program ... in which I assured him, oh don't you worry, you will still be held accountable}, happy he didn't have any hard math, and happy he got to play four square at recess. I'll take it! ... and at bedtime, I did hear one "I don't want to go to school  tomorrow" ... and I ignored it ... Only 179 more days :o)

{The 2nd Half of Summer}

While Caden and I were in St. Louis, Dan was texting me pictures of the house painting in progress. Prior to me leaving, we had drove around and looked at other houses and agreed on colors.  I was quite perplexed, puzzled and baffled by the pictures because it wasn't anything we had agreed on. ... it's growing on me {finished pics below}.
 ... ready for the front porch to be poured ...
 The day after we got back from St. Louis, Caden had an appointment with the sleep center tech at Childrens. He read Caden's "card" from his CPAP, and the results were good. No major hypotnea's.
