There Is NO Place Like New York!

Our final few days of New York were spent sight seeing! Unfortunately by day four Caden had had enough of everyone and everything! Sleeping in New York is an adventure! You constantly hear sirens, horns honking or yelling! Therefor I'm not sure Caden really got good sleep not to mention we were constantly on the go and there was a three hour time difference! He wasn't eating like he should ~ quality or quantity!

Here are a few photo's of our sight seeing adventures! This is only a few! I took over 640 pictures - I love digital!
Ground Zero - we didn't have time to do the museum ... amazing when you see it in real life!

Caden thought the sight seeing bus was pretty neat! He didn't have to sit in a car seat and LOVED the wind blowing in his face.

OH - my - a gazillion Taxi's! Makes I-5 in Seattle during rush hour look like nothing!
There is SO much to see in New York ~ I felt we were rushed to see each site! and couldn't fully see each attraction!
NEVER in my life have I seen SO many people - Times Square! It was like a giant ant hill!

I loved the Toys R Us in Times Square - There is a huge Ferris wheel .. and check it out, one of the seats was Caden's "car"! We didn't have time to ride though :0(
The "dazed" look of the biggest Toys R Us ... but he scored an airplane out of it! Or ai-lane as he calls it! And a few other toys & t-shirts!

The Empire State Building! By the time we got to the observation deck, Caden was Done! It was nothing but a fit! Dan got several great pictures and I hung out inside with the naughty overtired little boy!
Central Park! We missed the Central Park Zoo - we didn't realize they closed at 5:00 and we didn't get there until 4:30 - all well!
It wouldn't be a trip to New York without a Yankees hat! Caden was pretty proud of it!

Caden loved our hotel room ... the closet wasn't full of junk and he could play in it all day!
... and did I mention, I watched the DVR'd Today show this morning ... and my sign made it :0) Cute clip Jen! Ethan was so cute waving!

The conference was a WONDERFUL experience! It was so fun to meet all of my blogging family in person! It was as if we all had been friends for a while ~ the INTERNET is Amazing! There were no introductions needed! The doctors - GREAT! The Workshops - INFORMATIVE! It would have been nice if the conference wasn't in a city with so much to see! I felt we missed some conference opportunities with other events we were signed up for! I can't wait for Caden to get into his teens and look forward to the yearly national conferences. It was so fun to see all of the kids in their teens TRULY enjoying themselves! They are all so cute! Little People of America is an awesome organization! Although Dan and I wondered, "what will we do when we come to the conferences and Caden doesn't want to hang with us, he will only want to hang with his friends" ... our worries were quickly answered! "We will go have a margarita and RELAX!"

Thank YOU again so much to our family and friends! Without you our trip would have all been put on credit cards!

My LP Mommies! FUN! I wish we were closer and could meet at the mall weekly with our rascals!

Nashville National Conference in 2010? Two days ago, amongst Caden's fits, I was saying NO WAY! On our 7 hour plane ride last night I was saying No ... but Now that I'm back home at my desk ... already missing my blog family and the conference environment ... I'm starting to think Maybe ? :0)

Anaheim National Conference in 2011?! You betcha Ya!!! Caden to Disneyland at Four - Oh boy!

... There is no place like New York! ... and there is No Place Like Home! and Home is where we are happy to be! It was SO quiet when I crawled into bed at 1am this morning!

~What an amazing experience for all three of you. And how fun for your little family to have a new destination spot every year; I noticed that I wasn't the only one to comment on you and your blog girlfriends, you guys all looked as if you had been childhood playmates ... who knew? ~ Every year you have a new destination to look forward to .... new friends, a common interest, fun destination spots ~ blessings.

Welcome back home. What an awesome experience you all had. Thank you for all the updates while you were there. Made me feel like I wasn't missing out as much. I would have loved to have been there. I am really hoping to make it to Nashville next year. Aidan will be 5 then and on the verge of going into Kindergarten (hard for me to admit that). Anaheim for sure in 2011....how can I not living in Cali.

Wow, I cannot believe how much you did accomplish. We loved NY and yes, there is so much to see that you have to go more than once.

Caden is too cute with his Yankees hat, and although you say he was not always the happiest of campers on the adventure, his pictures sure don't show that.

Welcome home!

Trisha! Wow, you guys definitely made the most of your NY vacation! I can't even imagine how exhausted you are! And as for Nashville 2010...YES!! Keep thinking about it, because I know it will be a fantastic time! our boys can wear their Yankees hats together! I so wish we could have had more time to spend together, but it is so awesome how we all feel like great friends even after only meeting once. Thanks for the great re-cap of the rest of your trip!

Wow Trish you got some amazing pictures! I am very proud of Caden for getting his Yankee hat. Yes isn't it funny though with all those cabs I neevr seemed to get one-they are always occupied or off duty? ARGH! I am so happy you guys came. I was thinking no way to Nashville too, until I got home and realized I missed you guys so much. I cannot wait until the boys are older and we can all have margaritas----in the Sweat room of course! Caden is ridiculously adorable. I am so glad I got to meet him!

Trisha! I am so glad you posted all the pictures and kept us updated everyday. After reading everyone's blogs, how can we miss Nashville next year? We missed out on way too much already. I hope you can make it too.
I was sorry to hear that Caden will need decompression surgery. I can't tell you from personal experience, but being from southern Ca, many people around here consider Cedars the "go to" place. I have heard nothing but raves on Dr. Danielpour's surgical experience. I know you didn't like hearing the unanimous vote, but at least there is no "gray" area. Of course we all wish it would've gone the other way. Jake's MRI results are "borderline" and it's a wait and see situation. I'm the type of person who wants to know NOW. Yes or no, either way, it doesn't matter I just need to know. :)

Caden was a cute in NYC as he is back home, grumpy or not.

I've loved seeing everyone's pictures and reading everyone's comments about the trip. Sounds like such an awesome experience! Yay! I like going to NY about once a year, but anymore than that, and it's a little too crazy for me!

Awesome pictures!! Caden is so adorable - love the picture of him looking over your shoulder with his huge smile and the one of him pulling his Yankee hat down on his face!
I'm so glad that you guys were able to make it to the convention - just wish we could have gone to meet you guys too! It looks like you had a fun-filled & non-stop week! Definitely think about going to Nashville! We are planning/hoping to be there and would love to meet you guys!

LOVE the photos Trish! I totally agree with you. Our blogging buddies are the BEST! It was like we have known each other forever.

I was the same about Nashville when we were in NY -- no way! But now that we are home, I'm thinking maybe...
